Lousy connections cause harm to your health

Woman Looking SadA little realized pathway to wellness is connection. Sucky connections … sucky health in some way. Great connections … health boost.

This doesn’t mean that every connection/relationship in your life has to be top shelf. (Though that would be awesome.) It does mean that working toward improving or eliminating any much-less-than-stellar ones is in your best interest. That is, if you don’t want to spend time feeling like crap.

Why? Because lousy connections cause you:

  • Stress. Lots of it.
  • Defeat, which means you’re way less likely to take care of yourself.
  • Lowered self worth, which means you don’t think you’re worthy of trying anything new to feel better.
  • Depression, which you may try to fix with, say, cookies or lots of other elements that harm your health in various ways.

Translate lousy to equal mean or disrespectful or damaging in any way.

This can be a tough one, I know. Harder to find that sense of lightness. But you move through that because … there’s a powerful light at the end of the tunnel when you make the effort to remedy this. You need that light bathing you as a part of living well.

Start small. Where can you say no to someone demanding? Stand up more for yourself? Put some distance in? Ignore that phone call?

Do it; you’re worth it. And feeling well is definitely worth it.
