Let’s delete aging from our vocabularies. Why? Because it’s a handicap. An excuse. A reason to no longer try. Or hope or dream.
And that, my dear, is bullshit. It is never too late. Never, ever. Ever. Maybe if you’re truly on your death bed, then it would be reasonable to give yourself over to the process of transitioning. But not until.
I’m sure you have heard stories of seriously senior citizens doing amazing things. With amazing bodies and the health to match. Or someone who isn’t young coming back even better from a serious illness. Or even your everyday “older” person who still lives life to the max. Aging does not stop them.
So, if that, why not you? Why not anyone? One of my most unfavorite things is hearing people say, “I can’t.” “I’m too old.” “That’s not for me anymore, unfortunately.”
Try. What is it going to hurt to try? To say, “Well, hey, let’s give that one a shot. See what I can do. Who knows? Anything is possible.”
Remind yourself this, repeatedly, “It’s never, ever too late.” Never. Ever. (I put a nice graphic up with this a couple days ago. You can find it here: It’s never too late. Print that out and post it where you’ll see it often.)
Stop giving in to the non-reason of aging. We all age. We all do it with different degrees of finesse. A lot of that is not luck, it’s mindset and trying and believing and lifestyle and … never giving up.
