Use dream power to help you improve your wellness rating

IntuitionTake a second to rate how well you feel right now. How well you live. On a scale of 1-10, where are you? No shoulds, just, seriously, what’s the real truth?

Okay, when you’ve got that number, here’s what I want you to do: Ramp it up. No, no, no, slow your roll … or, that is, your brain going all crazy on you ‘cuz it thinks it knows where this is going. I know how that goes. My brain seems to run like it has an IV of concentrated Red Bull (nope, I don’t drink the stuff, have no idea where my brain is getting its stash): “Thank you for sharing … now shut the fuck up.”

Back to the number. Whatever you ramped it up to, do this next: Put your feet up, close your eyes and envision what that feels like. No, not what you think it will take to get there. Skip that part. That’s not relevant info right now. Feel what that 10, for example, is like. Who are you at that number? What does it feel like? What does it open up to you? (Yeah, this is old fashioned coach-y stuff, bear with me.) What’s your life like there?

What if you doubled the number? What if that was a 20? A 30? Whoa, how about 100? Remove the restraints, and see what you come up with. NO HOWS. You’re only daydreaming. No rules. No overthinking.

Hopefully, this exercise inspired you to find the path toward that person. So, now, as the saying goes, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Yeppers. So true. One. Now that you’re all filled with possibilities and stuff, what is that one step? What can you start doing right away? Name it, then do just that. And, tip: put up a reminder until it becomes second nature.
